ABOUT THE CAMBRIDGE CLIMATE CONFERENCE |

|
Last year the Cambridge Zero Carbon Society (CZCS), in collaboration with Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) and other groups in Cambridge, held the highly successful Cambridge Climate Conference “Entrepreneurship for a Zero Carbon Society” (www.cambridgeclimate.com/2008) in Cambridge, England. The event was attended by over 200 representatives from academia, industry, government and public policy. Over 20 distinguished speakers presented their views including Prof. Robert Watson (Chief Scientific Adviser, UK Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs and former Chair, IPCC) and Prof. David MacKay (University of Cambridge). We aim to stimulate discussion about practical global climate policy actions in the context of international efforts to replace the Kyoto Treaty; and to engage in the discussion about practical policy and business solutions required to promote investment in clean electricity generation on a global scale. |
